COMPANY HISTORY

In 1958 Ross Karlson, having just graduated in engineering started with Riverside Construction in London Ontario. By 1972 he worked himself up to Vice President of the company with a stake in ownership of the company. In 1973 Riverside Construction was sold to TCG Materials, where Ross went on to become Senior Vice President until his retirement from the company in 1994.

In 1984 Tory Karlson, the son of Ross joined TCG Materials in the Marketing division of the company. From 1984 until 1989 he worked himself into a management position. One of his clients was Ronson Paving & Construction, which was formed in 1984. Tory realized the potential in this young company and in 1989 purchased Ronson Paving.

Over the next 31 years Tory, with the constant aid and advice of his father with his lifetime of construction experience, grew Ronson Paving into one of the leading paving contractors in London.

In 2019 Ronson Paving entered into an agreement with Matt Needham to buy the company. Tory realized that with the continued growth and success of the company, Matt’s talents and construction background and knowledge would be a great addition to the team at Ronson Paving.

Tory and Matt together with the outstanding and appreciated staff at Ronson Paving look forward to continuing to serve our valued clients in the London Ontario and surrounding area for many years to come.
